Calmer Canines Ltd: The Legal Bits

SAfe Pro Student Terms and Conditions

The SAfe Pro Programme includes The SAfe Pro Course and the Safe Pro Mentorship. It's a supportive and collaborative learning space, designed to help you grow in confidence and skill when working with dogs and their caregivers. In keeping with this, it’s important that we’re all clear on how the course works, what you can expect, and what’s expected of you.

The following Terms and Conditions protect you, other students, and the integrity of the SAfe Pro Programme. By enrolling and taking part, you agree to them.

1. Enrolment and Payment
1.1 Enrolment is confirmed once payment has been received in full, or a payment plan has been agreed and the first instalment paid.

1.2 Payment plans must be honoured in full. Failure to make payments may result in suspension or termination of course access.

1.3 Course fees are non-refundable once access to the programme has been granted. No refunds, partial refunds, or transfers will be given once payment has been made, except where required by law.

1.4 Six months access to the SAfe Pro Mentorship is included with the SAfe Pro Programme. After this period, you will receive an invitation to continue as a paying subscriber. You will not be automatically enrolled or charged when your included period ends. Continued access is available as a recurring subscription, billed automatically at the frequency selected at sign-up. You may cancel your mentorship subscription at any time. On cancellation, your access will continue until the end of your current billing period, after which it will not renew. No partial refunds are given for unused time within a billing period. Failed payments may result in suspension of mentorship access

2. Access to Materials
2.1 You will be granted access to course content for the stated duration. Where “lifetime access” is provided, this refers to the lifetime of the course, not your personal lifetime.

2.2 All course content is for your personal professional development only. It may not be shared, copied, distributed, or sold, except where explicitly stated within the course (for example, downloadable worksheets or resources provided for sharing with your clients).

2.3 Access to course materials is provided via third-party platforms and may change if those platforms are updated, replaced, or unavailable.

2.4 Mentorship access is available for as long as your included access or subscription remains active.

3. Intellectual Property
3.1 All course materials, including text, video, audio, graphics, worksheets, and tools, remain the intellectual property of Calmer Canines Ltd or its contributors.

3.2 You may not reproduce, publish, or distribute any content outside your professional practice with clients without explicit written permission.

3.3 Use of the SAfe Pro badge is permitted only once you have completed the programme and achieved accreditation. Students may not use the badge or describe themselves as SAfe Pro-certified until formally accredited.

4. Use of Free Work and ACE
4.1 The SAfe Pro Programme includes the use of Free Work. Graduates of this  programme may describe their practice as Free Work, but not as ACE Free Work unless they have independently undertaken formal ACE training and achieved accreditation through Animal Centred Education.

5. Professional Responsibility
5.1 You are responsible for ensuring you hold appropriate professional insurance before applying course concepts with clients.

5.2 The SAfe Pro Programme is designed to provide education and guidance. It does not replace veterinary, legal, or medical advice. You remain solely responsible for decisions made in your professional practice.

5.3 Any support provided as part of the programme, including live sessions, group discussions, and messaging platforms, is offered within reasonable limits. Response times and availability may vary and are not guaranteed.

5.4 Discounted 1:1 sessions are available and are subject to separate booking and availability.

6. Student Conduct
6.1 Students are expected to engage respectfully in live sessions, the Facebook group, and all discussions.

6.2 Confidentiality must be maintained: do not share personal or client information outside the course community.

6.3 You must have explicit permission before sharing any videos, photos, or case details of dogs that are not your own, from any people who appear in your videos or photos, and from parents, guardians, or carers before including any children or vulnerable adults.

6.4 Any abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal without refund.

6.5 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the programme if you breach these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

7. Confidentiality and Recordings
7.1 Group sessions and Q&As may be recorded and shared with other students within the programme.

7.2 You must not download, share, or distribute recordings outside the course platform.

8. SAfe Network and Referrals
8.1 Active mentorship subscribers may, over time, be listed or recommended for suitable cases within the SAfe network. Referrals are offered carefully, based on the needs of the dog and the way you work, and are never guaranteed. This develops as your experience and confidence grow.

8.2 Once you have accepted a referral, the case becomes your sole professional responsibility. Calmer Canines Ltd accepts no liability for outcomes arising from cases referred through the SAfe network. You remain responsible for ensuring you hold appropriate professional insurance and for all decisions made in your practice.

9. Data Protection and Privacy
9.1 We collect and store personal data necessary to deliver the SAfe Pro Programme, including your name, email address, payment details, and course activity.

9.2 Your data may be stored and processed using third-party platforms including, but not limited to, course hosting platforms, payment processors, email systems, and communication tools (for example Zenler, Kajabi, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Zoom).

9.3 By enrolling, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred between these platforms for the purpose of delivering the programme and associated support.

9.4 Live sessions may be recorded. These recordings may include your name, voice, image, and any information you choose to share. Recordings are made available to other students within the programme.

9.5 We will take reasonable steps to protect your data and only retain it for as long as necessary to deliver the programme and meet legal obligations.

9.6 You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting SAfeWithStephie@gmail.com.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
10.1 While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, we make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes for you or your clients.

10.2 We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from how you use the programme or its content.

10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded under law.

11. Amendments
11.1 We may update or amend these Terms from time to time. Students will be notified of any material changes.

12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
